How and where to report violations by scooter riders
The Association of Micromobility Operators has launched the chatbots "Scooters: Public Control." With their help, residents will be able to report violations of the rules for using rented electric scooters.
To send a complaint, it is enough to specify the type of violation, the time and place of the incident, as well as attach a photo or video. After that, the request is automatically sent to the scooter-sharing operator, and the user can track the status of the review in the bot. Providing the scooter number is not mandatory, but it makes it easier to find the violator.
Depending on the severity of the violation, the services may issue a warning, fine the user, or block their account. The chatbots only work with rented electric scooters—complaints about private transport are not considered.
The service already covers more than 200 cities in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Over the course of a year, a similar chatbot in Telegram processed more than 300,000 requests.
