A state of emergency has been declared in five Sverdlovsk districts due to flooding.
According to the data from the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region, five municipal districts in the region have declared a state of emergency. Thus, a special regime is in effect in the Gorno-Uralsky municipal district, the city of Yekaterinburg municipal district, the Kushva municipal district, the Nizhny Sergi municipal district, and the Pervouralsk municipal district.
— As a result of heavy rainfall in the form of rain, more than 290 private residential and summer houses, and 3,819 household plots in 17 municipal entities have been flooded in the Sverdlovsk Region. A total of 155 people have been evacuated, including 6 children. 9 people remain in temporary accommodation centers, while the other residents have found shelter with relatives and friends, the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
More than 600 people and 150 pieces of special equipment have been involved in eliminating the consequences of the flood and providing assistance to the population. It was previously reported that cold water was turned off in Pervouralsk due to the flood.
