Yekaterinburg residents were warned about the danger of fish caught after the flood.

      The Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention warned that fish caught in puddles formed after flooding, as well as in water bodies contaminated by the flood, may be dangerous.

      — Fish caught in puddles created by flooding and in water bodies contaminated as a result of the flood can pose a health risk. The issue is that the flood has led to the death of many small rodents. The situation is complicated by the fact that street toilets and cesspools in the areas around these water bodies have been flooded. Given the relatively warm weather, this leads to the proliferation of microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, and parasites in the water. Consuming such fish increases the risk of intestinal infections and helminthic diseases, the center quotes the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg Emergency."
