According to him, since June 2026, the unit has been headed by Valentin Kats. During the meeting, it was noted that the staffing situation in the Revdinsky department remains complicated. As of today, there is a shortfall of 65 employees. In particular, there are 11 vacant positions for operational officers, 11 in the patrol and post service, 12 among district police officers, and five in the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. In addition, eight managerial positions remain unfilled. Despite this, the current personnel continue to monitor the operational situation and take necessary measures to maintain law and order.
During the meeting, Alexander Meshkov criticized the work of certain officials. The reason was the increase in the number of serious crimes against individuals—from 13 to 29, a nearly 50 percent decrease in the detection rates of crimes from previous years, a reduction in the effectiveness of the fight against drug trafficking, as well as unsatisfactory results in preventing street crime. The head of the main department paid special attention to issues of preventive work. According to police data, previously convicted citizens committed 82 crimes again. The number of criminal offenses against minors significantly increased—from 18 to 90. The work to counter violations of migration legislation was also deemed unsatisfactory: during the reporting period, foreign citizens committed nine crimes that received wide public resonance.
As a result of the meeting, specific tasks were set for the heads of all services, and deadlines were established for addressing the identified shortcomings, strengthening the staffing of the unit, and improving the effectiveness of work to ensure public safety in the municipality.
