The Sverdlovsk family of a SVO fighter had a huge utility bill canceled.
In Yekaterinburg, the prosecutor's office achieved a recalculation of utility payments for the family of a participant in the Special Military Operation through the court. The management company "Verkh-Isetskaya" charged the serviceman's wife over 165,000 rubles for hot water supply, but the court found such actions illegal.
As reported by the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region, the large sum was charged for three months using an increased coefficient. The reason was the absence of an anti-magnetic seal on the hot water meter, which was discovered during an inspection.
At the same time, the prosecutor's inspection established that there were no signs of interference with the operation of the measuring device. The meter was found to be functioning properly, had passed calibration on time, and was allowed for operation.
Later, the anti-magnetic seal was found and handed over to the management company. It retained its integrity, which also confirmed the absence of any manipulations with the measuring device.
After the inspection, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to recognize the actions of the management company as illegal. The supervisory authority demanded that the management company be obliged to perform a recalculation, excluding 138,000 rubles from the charges, as well as over 6,000 rubles in penalties.
The court fully satisfied the prosecutor's claim. As a result, the family of the participant in the Special Military Operation was relieved from paying about 144,000 rubles.
