Ural banks have come under new EU sanctions.

      In the 21st package of anti-Russian sanctions by the European Union, several banks and one enterprise from the Sverdlovsk region have been included, reports "Ъ-Ural".

      Thus, the new EU sanctions package includes the banks "Sinara" and UBRiR (Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development), registered in Yekaterinburg, as well as PJSC "Metkombank" registered in Kamensk-Uralsky.

      Also included in the European sanctions list is the bank "Tochka," established in Yekaterinburg.

      Earlier in 2024, "Tochka" was placed under US sanctions, reminds "Ъ-Ural." According to the US Treasury Department, the bank provides financial services to "organizations supporting Russian troops" and "organizations supplying ammunition to Russian servicemen," reports "Ъ-Ural."

      "Sinara" (formerly SKB-Bank) is also already under US sanctions. Since this year, both banks have also been under British sanctions.

      In total, more than 80 banks have been included in the new 21st package of anti-Russian sanctions by the EU.

      In addition, the EU has imposed sanctions on JSC "Tekhnosvyaz" (Yekaterinburg), which specializes in the production of electrical and optical equipment and supplies electronics to the electromechanical plant "Kupol" (Izhevsk), including components used in the production of UAVs "Garpia-A1," writes "Ъ-Ural."
