Agrarian scientist Nikita Zezin was brutally beaten shortly before his death.

      Not long before his death, Ural scientist, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikita Nikolaevich Zezin was beaten by an unknown assailant. This shocking fact was reported on his page on VKontakte by State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Wegner. He called the scientist's death a cynical murder.

      Together with his deputy Alexander Shanin, on July 13, director of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Ural Federal Agrarian Scientific Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences" Nikita Zezin inspected experimental fields and crops, reports "Ъ-Ural." On one of the fields, they saw children aged 8-10 stuck on several ATVs. Previously, they had been racing across the crops, destroying them.

      Since it was already evening, the men decided to take the children off the field and hand them over to their parents at the institute. Around six in the evening, four jeeps arrived there, writes Vyacheslav Wegner.

      From one of the SUVs, two thugs got out. Right in front of the children, one of them, introducing himself as "Arkasha," brutally beat first Nikita Nikolaevich and then veteran "Afghan" Alexander Shanin.

      "The children stood nearby, watching the beating unfold and cheerfully shouting in delight at the actions of the enraged father," Wegner writes.

      Nikita Nikolaevich's heart could not withstand what happened. Vyacheslav Wegner called the attack on the scientist a cynical murder. According to him, he has already contacted the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, stating the need to thoroughly investigate this crime.
