Starting tomorrow, August 1, residents of Yekaterinburg will not be able to fly with the airline "IzhAvia." Rosaviatsia has revoked the operator's certificate.
The order to revoke the operator's certificate was signed by the head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadrov.
"From August 1, the airline will not be able to carry out commercial flights and is suspending ticket sales," says a statement from Rosaviatsia, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the online scoreboard at Yekaterinburg's Koltsovo airport, the last flight of "IzhAvia" will arrive in the Ural capital today at 21:30.
"IzhAvia" operated flights from Izhevsk to Yekaterinburg, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, and Kaliningrad. Nearly 46,000 tickets from Izhevsk to the aforementioned cities were sold for the period until February 1, 2027.
All tickets purchased from the airline "IzhAvia" remain valid, emphasized Rosaviatsia. "IzhAvia" flights will be redistributed among other airlines.
In early May, Rosaviatsia limited the validity of the operator's certificate for "IzhAvia" until July 28 after a preventive visit. On Thursday, July 30, Rosaviatsia revoked the operator's certificate for "IzhAvia."
Specialists identified violations of aviation legislation, including the admission of an aircraft that had undergone necessary maintenance not in full, as well as improper functioning of the flight safety management system, writes RIA Novosti.
The airline's management was recommended to reconsider its approaches to flight safety management, carry out structural and personnel changes, as well as a thorough internal audit of its own departments for maintaining flightworthiness and technical maintenance of aviation equipment.
Within the allotted time, the airline did not eliminate critical non-compliance regarding the functioning of the flight safety management system.
