According to Sorokina, large trees can be planted even in the presence of underground utilities. For this, as she explained, the Ural technology of "suspended sidewalks" can be used. Special plastic modules are installed above the engineering networks, the space inside is filled with soil, and a covering is laid on top.
Sorokina claims that this structure provides about 12 cubic meters of soil for one tree and can withstand a load of up to 16 tons. If necessary, the modules can be disassembled to access the utilities.
At the same time, the idea of greening Vaynera with large trees has already been criticized in the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg. Main." The authors of the publication doubted that the plants would be able to take root due to the peculiarities of the underground space of the street, pointing out the layer of gravel and the concrete box above the heat pipeline.
