August 10, 2026 A new work from the international street art festival "Stenography" has appeared in Yekaterinburg. The arch of the children's and youth center "Kaleidoscope" at Michurina Street, 171 has been adorned with a bright mural created in collaboration by artists, educators, and students of the center.

The basis of the composition is the contrast between the rhythm of a big city and the tranquility of nature. On one side of the arch, cars are depicted rushing about their business, while on the other side, a cat plays with a butterfly. The characters express a whole range of emotions: from joy to amusing anger.
The sketch's author, artist Zhenya Artemyev, chose the Japanese kawaii style for the work, characterized by thick outlines. The composition also shows the influence of American artist Keith Haring's work. According to the creators' idea, the drawing is meant to serve as a kind of interactive map of emotions for children. For example, an angry ladybug can suggest to a child that it is better not to approach it, while a smiling Christmas tree can create a sense of friendliness.
The mural was created with the participation of the students and educators of "Kaleidoscope," as well as the wards of the charitable foundation "I am special" along with their parents. The final touches were added by Ural artist Danil Mynamestreets.
The organizers note that thanks to the painting, the previously dark and unwelcoming space of the arch has become warmer and more comfortable. Moreover, the involvement of children and residents in the creation of the work should help them perceive the transformed space as their own and treat it more carefully.
