The new unmanned tram "Bogatyr-M" has been tested in Yekaterinburg and will now be sent to other cities.
The new two-section tram "Bogatyr-M" transported passengers in Yekaterinburg and Verkhnyaya Pyshma for three weeks. During the testing period, the tram traveled over 1000 kilometers and confirmed the declared technical specifications.
From July 13 to August 3, the tram operated on a common schedule with single-section unmanned trams "Lvenok". "Bogatyr-M" was serviced in a digital depot and was fully connected to the city dispatch system.
The manufacturer notes that the tram consumes less electricity, is easier to repair, and exerts less strain on the tram tracks. As a result, the cost of transporting one passenger is reduced.
The tram is also equipped with "TMH-Intelligent Systems" technology, which allows it to operate without a driver. This could become the basis for a transition to fully unmanned movement in the future.
After completing tests in the Urals, "Bogatyr-M" will head for testing in Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Kolomna. Reports "Signal Ural".
