According to them, such indicators have not been recorded at the Western filtration station in the last 50 years. This was reported to the city's head, Alexey Orlov, by the company's employees, as stated by the OTV TV channel.

      — The station has been operating since 1972. We reviewed all the analyses from previous years - the maximum color value was recorded at around 113 units. Now it reaches 250, - said Ilya Uskov, head of the Western filtration station of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal."

      The sharp deterioration in indicators is attributed to flooding. Due to the high water level, pollutants from swamps and other areas entered the water bodies, after which the load on the purification system significantly increased.

      Filters now have to be cleaned much more often. It is impossible to completely replace them quickly: we are talking about multi-kilogram structures.

      Problems with cold water supply in Yekaterinburg began after eight filters at the water treatment station failed. As a result, the pressure in the system decreased, and some microdistricts were left without both cold and hot water at the same time. Initially, "Vodokanal" promised to fully restore water supply by August 8, then the deadline was moved to August 9. However, over the weekend, it was not possible to restore water supply in full volume. Now water is promised only after August 20.
