      In Yekaterinburg, a three-year-old child sustained serious injuries as a result of being hit by an electric scooter rider.

      The incident occurred yesterday on Akademika Sakharova Street, 51, in the Akademicheskiy district. A young man on an electric scooter knocked down a three-year-old boy who was with a caregiver from a private kindergarten and was waiting for his mother.

      The boy's aunt told "Channel 4" that the perpetrator was drunk. According to "Evil Yekaterinburg," the scooter rider fell on the child after the collision. Witnesses helped to restrain the driver until the police arrived.

      The child, along with his mother, was taken to DMB No. 9. The injured child has a closed head injury, blunt abdominal trauma, as well as severe swelling and a bruise under the eye, reports "Channel 4."

      However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied the fact of intoxication of the scooter driver. According to the results of a medical examination, the 22-year-old man was sober. It is also reported that he was moving along the bike path.

      A case has been opened against the driver under the article of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for violating traffic rules, resulting in minor harm to health.

      Notably, in the comments of the "Evil Yekaterinburg" public page, an overwhelming majority of users blamed the child, the mother, and the caregiver for being in the path of the scooter, which, in their opinion, did not violate any rules.
