The Russian gas station network has started selling gasoline of the lower environmental standard "Euro-4".
The company "Tatneft" has launched the sale of AI-92 eco-class gasoline "Euro-4" in two cities - Naberezhnye Chelny and Perm. This is reported by the Perm portal 59.RU.
In the documentation posted in the "Consumer Corner," which the correspondent of 59.RU reviewed, it is indicated that the 92nd gasoline "Euro-4" was produced in Tatarstan on August 28.
There is also a notice that the fuel being dispensed is of a lower class standard "Euro-4" near the fuel hoses, the portal reports.
In Perm, "Tatneft" has only one gas station. The "Euro-4" gasoline there was sold out in a day and a half.
Previously, the turnover of eco-class gasoline "Euro-4" in the domestic market was prohibited: the sulfur content in it can be 5 times higher than in "Euro-5." However, due to the difficult situation in the fuel market, the federal government has again allowed "Euro-4," "Euro-3," and "Euro-2" to be sold to domestic consumers.
This measure is in effect until July 1, 2027. The publication "InfoTEK" was the first to notice the appearance of lower ecological class fuel for sale.
