The building of the Palace of Pioneers was an "augmented and reworked" version of the Rastorguev-Kharitonov estate.
"It became a benchmark of 'new architecture' in the second half of the 1930s, which replaced constructivism. During this period, Soviet architects transitioned from building concise housing complexes to designing 'palaces for the proletariat'," the message from MIE states.
The exhibition is based on the collection of glass plates from the Bureau of Technical Inventory from the museum's funds.
