На 74-м году жизни ушёл из жизни ветеран уральского хоккея, мастер спорта и судья первой категории Сергей Печенин. Он был воспитанником свердловской «Юности» и на протяжении десяти сезонов выступал в роли вратаря за «Автомобилист», играя в команде в 70-х и 80-х годах.
О кончине спортсмена проинформировала пресс-служба клуба.
— Сергей Александрович провёл в чемпионатах СССР более двухсот матчей. После завершения карьеры игрока он продолжил свою деятельность в хоккее в качестве арбитра, судя на протяжении многих лет детско-юношеские соревнования и турниры любительских команд. Мы выражаем искренние соболезнования семье и близким Сергея Александровича Печенина, — говорится в сообщении клуба.
В начале ноября в Екатеринбурге скончался 39-летний хоккеист-любитель.
