The electronic fare payment operator "Information Network" noted that the cause of the incident was a technical failure. The city hall press service added that the error should be corrected soon, and the excess funds will be refunded.
Recall that QR code fare payments have been valid in Yekaterinburg's public transport throughout 2025. This payment method offers passengers a 4-ruble discount — instead of 33, they can pay 29 rubles.
