Workers at a large factory in Yekaterinburg have been prohibited from bringing water with them today at 13:03. Employees of the M. I. Kalinin Assembly Plant in Yekaterinburg complained that they were forbidden from bringing food and water.
— They prohibited carrying any liquids through the checkpoint, even water. In the morning, security screens those entering with metal detectors. No water coolers or purchased water are provided for staff, — said one employee to E1.RU.
The press service of MZIK confirmed that bringing any liquids onto the plant's territory is forbidden (except for medications up to 50 ml). However, they stated that employees are allowed to drink:
— MZIK provides Kalinin workers with filtered drinking water. Each workshop has tanks with the specified type of water, which is provided free of charge, — the factory reported.
They added that there are also several vending points where water in bottles can be purchased, as well as canteens where one can buy drinks.
A few weeks ago, the media reported that at the same factory, people stood in line for two hours just to get to work. These were also consequences of increased security measures.
The Sverdlovsk plant is transitioning to a four-day workweek.
In Yekaterinburg, there are plans to build a tram factory.
"Over 100,000 people are needed": Sverdlovsk plants are experiencing a serious labor shortage.
It has become known when construction on "Uralmashzavod" will begin.
At an important Sverdlovsk plant, the number of workers has decreased tenfold.
