Developer TEN declined to demolish the DOSAAF building in the center of Yekaterinburg.
Today at 13:15, the company "TEN Development," owner of the building of the former dormitory of the Volunteer Society for the Assistance of the Army, Aviation, and Fleet (DOSAAF) on Vojevodin Street, 6, in the center of Yekaterinburg, announced that it does not plan to demolish it. This was reported by Konstantin Kiselev, a city council deputy, on his Telegram channel, according to "Kommersant-Ural."
"Thanks to the purchase in 2022 of the constructivist building in the center of Yekaterinburg for 154.5 million rubles for the construction of a new project on its site, 'TEN Development' acquired the property. Not on the first try, but in April, a historical and cultural expertise did not recognize the DOSAAF building as a cultural heritage site and allowed its demolition.
As Konstantin Kiselev explained, after this information appeared, he met with representatives of the development company, who assured him that they had abandoned the idea of demolition. Despite the high cost of restoration, the house is planned to be restored and put into operation."
