— A mother with many children approached me. According to her, an adult man gained her daughter's trust and engaged in intimate relations with her. He misled her, convincing her with promises that he would leave his wife and child and marry her. At the time, the victim was under 16 years old. The girl became pregnant and no longer needed him,— said Samkov.
When the woman found out, she reported it to the police. Law enforcement agencies have not yet initiated a criminal case. The police officer was working as a taxi driver when he met her.
— The suspect is a 39-year-old head of the forensic expert group at the local Department of Internal Affairs, holding the rank of police major. He has a wife and a child. He is well regarded, giving lectures at children's educational institutions. The suspect met the victim by chance while working as a private driver,— added the lawyer.
According to the lawyer, during the preliminary investigation, the suspect began to ask the girl to lie during the interrogation. He also requested that she delete compromising correspondence from her mother's phone.
The situation was also addressed by State Duma deputy from the Urals, Andrey Alshevskikh. He said that inquiries have already been sent to the heads of the Sverdlovsk prosecutor’s office, the Investigative Committee, and the police. The major has already been dismissed from service.
— A decision has been made to suspend the officer from performing his duties. He will soon be dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for disciplinary reasons. If guilt is confirmed, he will be held liable according to the law,— said Valery Gorelykh, press secretary of the Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
