The famous Sverdlovsk pastry has its own café in Yekaterinburg
Today at 13:57, a new café "Sloika" opened at the Yeltsin Center, run by the well-known Yekaterinburg restaurateur Kirill Shlaen, reports "Kommersant-Ural".
Sloika was opened in place of the Italian restaurant Pinzeria, which also belonged to Shlaen. The restaurateur stated that he continues to work with an Uralian identity in cuisine.
At "Sloika," well-known Sverdlovsk baked goods will be offered, primarily Sverdlovsk sloika. The bun first appeared for sale in 1968.
However, sloika specifically and baking in general are only part of what will be offered to the establishment's guests. The menu includes a wide variety of items—from pizza to borscht.
