An criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident involving a "squeezed child" in the Yekaterinburg metro.
Yesterday at 15:56, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the progress and results of the investigation into the injury of a young girl in Yekaterinburg.
The incident occurred in the metro, where the train driver, upon arriving at "Prospekt Kosmonavtov" station, began closing the doors while passengers were still exiting the wagon.
"...the train driver started moving without ensuring that passengers had finished boarding and alighting. This led to a three-year-old girl being injured by the train doors; the minor sustained bodily injuries," states the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
A criminal case has been opened by the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region based on this incident.
Meanwhile, the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg. Main," which is close to the Yekaterinburg administration, reported yesterday evening that the child was not hurt, and that the train driver has already been punished and expressed "deepest apologies." To support their claim that the child is fine, the authors published a video from inside the wagon.
