Today at 09:51, vehicle movement will be temporarily restricted this coming Saturday, August 2, in the center of Yekaterinburg in connection with events for Airborne Forces Day. This is reported by the city hall press service.
Based on the decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin, Airborne Forces Day is celebrated annually on August 2. This year, the Russian Airborne Troops turned 95 years old.
In honor of this holiday, several events will take place in Yekaterinburg, including a parade of veteran columns of the Airborne Forces to the "Black Tulip" memorial at the Soviet Army Square.
The procession will start at 09:45. As a result, traffic will be restricted for 30 minutes—from 09:45 to 10:15.
It will be impossible to drive from the Tatishev and de Gennin monuments along Lenin Avenue to the "Black Tulip" memorial via the "Iset" hotel, Lunacharsky Street, and Pervomaiskaya Street.
Organizers ask motorists to understand the temporary changes to traffic and to plan their routes in advance.
Public transport routes will remain unchanged.
