Car torn apart: a severe accident in downtown Yekaterinburg caused by a Lexus driver (VIDEO)
Today at 09:21 in Yekaterinburg at the intersection of Malysheva and Sako and Vanzetti streets, a serious accident occurred involving two cars. According to preliminary information, a Lexus driver at high speed ran a red light and collided with a Rover moving on a green signal. As a result of the accident, two people were seriously injured—the driver and the passenger of the Rover.

The impact was so strong that debris from the vehicles scattered across the roadway, damaging nearby Toyota and Kia. Inside the Rover were two people—both with injuries hospitalized in serious condition. There were also two people in the Lexus, but they were unharmed. Witnesses reported that the Lexus driver might have been intoxicated. He was sent for medical examination.
Witnesses and pedestrians were unharmed.
According to E1 data, the Lexus driver was a resident of Snezhinsk. The man bought the car three years ago. During this time, he has been involved in two accidents and received 75 fines, mostly for speeding. Witnesses said the driver seemed to be under the influence. He was cited 276 times; the identity of the driver who died in a collision on Serovsky Trakt has now been established.
