Today at 14:40, it was announced by the URA.RU agency that Shahin Shyklinski, the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Urals, is held in solitary confinement at Ekaterinburg SIZO No. 1.

The businessman is placed in a single cell measuring about 6 meters. "It has a bed, a toilet, a small table, and a shelf. There is a small window," described a source from URA.RU within the security forces who has information about the cell where Shyklinski is kept. The detainee has the right to receive parcels from relatives and to walk.
According to sources from URA.RU, inmates in single cells follow a general schedule but are under stricter control. Such cells are used for violators of internal regulations (as a measure preceding placement in the punishment cell), as well as for criminal "authorities," and individuals detained under terrorist articles, as well as officials.
According to human rights activist Alexei Sokolov, confinement in a single cell may have been chosen for the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora for his safety.
