The widow of a multiple-child family from Sverdlovsk who lost her husband in the special military operation was denied payments
Today at 15:44 in Nizhny Tagil, the widow of a fallen serviceman from the SVO zone was left without benefits. The wife was unaware of her husband's fate, who was recognized as missing in action. This was reported by State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov.
— In October 2024, Andrey went on a combat mission from which he did not return. He was listed as missing in action. From that moment, bureaucratic issues began, — Ivanov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ivanov noted that in February, he managed with the military prosecutor's office of the Central Military District to secure a pension for the wife. By June, it was revealed that the pension recalculation for her husband's period of service had not been carried out, and a veteran ID card for combat duties had not been issued. When trying to resolve the issue, the widow was told by the accounting department that there was no report from Andrey confirming his participation in the SVO.
At that point, the deputy forwarded the materials to the military prosecutor's office, where the veteran ID was issued and the pension recalculated. Later, the woman learned that her husband had died.
Earlier, the family of another fallen Sverdlovsk participant in the SVO was left without benefits.
