In Yekaterinburg, a conductor kicked a schoolboy off a tram despite free travel.
Employees of Gortrans of Yekaterinburg are checking reports that a conductor forced a schoolchild off tram No. 24. Recall that since September 1, 2025, surface transport has been made free for students, so the conductor had no right to eject the young passenger.
— We are currently checking the fact. If it is confirmed, disciplinary measures will be taken against the guilty parties, — Mikhail Shchipanov, acting general director of Gortrans, told the E1.RU portal.
According to him, if the conductor did indeed eject the schoolchild, he will be stripped of his bonus.
The head of Gortrans clarified that before September 1 drivers and conductors were instructed not to remove from vehicles any passengers who even remotely resembled schoolchildren.
— Order No. 281 dated August 29 was issued across the company. It states that the directors of bus companies and tram and trolleybus depots must ensure free travel for persons aged 7 to 18, — Shchipanov said.
Recall that until September 14 students will not be required to show documents on public transport. But afterward the right to the benefit will need to be confirmed.
Also, the head of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, signed a decree approving the fares for monthly passes for the city's public transport. In addition, from September 1 the fare on Yekaterinburg public transport will be 24 rubles when paid by QR code or via SPB.
