HH.ru reported miners' salaries in the Sverdlovsk Region.
The average salary offered to miners in the Sverdlovsk Region is 136,500 rubles. This was reported by Kommersant-Ural, citing HH.ru.
According to HH.ru, over four years the median wages (the income of the "average" worker; half of workers earn less than this amount and half earn more) of miners in the Urals have nearly doubled, increasing most in the Chelyabinsk Region — by 1.8 times (in the Sverdlovsk Region — by 1.5 times).
At the same time, the most competitive salaries in the Ural Federal District are in the Tyumen Region (200,000 rubles). The Sverdlovsk Region ranked second (136,500 rubles), followed by Chelyabinsk (129,900 rubles), Kommersant-Ural writes.
Most of the vacancies opened since the start of the year are in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions (46% and 39% respectively); Tyumen and Kurgan account for just 5% each. In the Middle Urals there are 4.5 resumes per vacancy (3.6 in Chelyabinsk).
To attract workers to the mines of the Severouralsk Bauxite Mine (SUBR, part of Rusal) in Severouralsk, acting governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler promised a pay rise. In July it emerged that SUBR is short of 200 workers, and Indian workers are being brought into the town.
