An official was dismissed from the mayor’s office of the Closed Administrative-Territorial Formation (ZATO) of the city of Novouralsk with the stated reason “due to loss of confidence,” on the prosecutor’s submission based on the results of an inspection conducted by the supervisory authority.
The prosecutor’s office of the ZATO of Novouralsk inspected the compliance with anti-corruption legislation by the Suburban Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market of the Sverdlovsk Region.
Following the inspection, the prosecutor’s office issued a submission to the regional Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market, as a result of the consideration of which the civil servant was dismissed.
In addition, a criminal case is pending in court against the official under parts 2, 3 and 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receipt by an official personally of a bribe in the form of other property for illegal acts (omissions) in a significant amount, and in an especially large amount), and part 2 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (official forgery).
During the supervisory activities it was established that the chief specialist of the above-mentioned department of the regional ministry, in violation of the duties and prohibitions established by anti-corruption legislation, from 2020 to 2023 submitted knowingly false information about his income, expenses, property and property-related liabilities, and also carried out other paid activities.
He, in particular, acquired a number of vehicles and other equipment which, in order to conceal information about his income and assets, he registered in the names of other persons. Subsequently the vehicles were leased out, and the income received was not declared.
