
A motorcyclist died in the Alapaevsky District after crashing into a power line pole.
Choosing an unsafe speed and not wearing a helmet led to the death of a motorcyclist in a road traffic accident that occurred on Friday, September 5 in the village of Makhnevo in the Alapaevsky District, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region reports.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred on September 5 at 14:30 on Sovetskaya Street in Makhnevo. The rider of a RACER RC 300 motorcycle, after exceeding the speed limit, left the carriageway and crashed into a power line pole.
From his injuries, the motorcyclist, a 47-year-old local resident, died at the scene. At the time of the tragedy he was not wearing a motorcycle helmet or protective gear.
The deceased had 29 years of driving experience and only one traffic violation. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the driver’s condition at the time of the accident; an investigation is underway.
