Utilities in Yekaterinburg will become 23% more expensive.
The heating season has begun in Yekaterinburg. As a result, utilities for residents of Sverdlovsk Oblast will become almost a quarter more expensive — specifically by 23%.
According to the portal 66.RU citing analysts from Cian, the average size of utility payments in the summer was about 4.87 thousand rubles. With the start of heating, the amounts on bills will rise to 6,000 rubles. That is roughly 700 rubles more than last winter.
Recall that as of July 1, tariffs for housing and communal services in Russia were raised by 13.2% — specifically for hot and cold water, wastewater disposal, electricity, gas, heat, and garbage collection.
As State Duma deputy and member of the Construction and Housing and Utilities Committee Alexander Yakubovsky previously reported, the indexation of utility tariffs in these Russian regions is due to the need to modernize worn-out communal infrastructure, rising prices for resources such as gas and electricity, and inflation.
