An inspection in July 2024 discovered 23 citizens of Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan at the Rezh bread plant who were working without permits. They were engaged in loading, packaging and assembling products.
The investigation found that the foreign workers had been recruited through individual entrepreneur E.E. Rybachenok. The Chkalovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg found the businesswoman guilty and imposed a fine of 250,000 rubles for each illegally employed person.
An appeal to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court was unsuccessful — the decision was upheld. Moreover, in September 2024 a criminal case was opened against the entrepreneur on the charge of organizing illegal migration by a group of persons by prior agreement.
