— During the course of the metro's operations debts to creditors accumulated. We carried out an overhaul of the entire rolling stock, which allowed us to extend the service life of the cars by another 15 years. Therefore it was necessary to amend the budget and allocate additional funds for this, the parliamentarian explained.
Previously the specified amount had not been included in the city budget. At the same time Kolesnikov noted that a fare increase in the metro is not being considered for now.
