The authorities decided to reduce the area of Yekaterinburg.
Yekaterinburg’s area is to be reduced by 1,400 square meters. Members of the City Duma commission supported such a proposal.
As a result, the city’s total territory will shrink from 114,752.33 to 114,752.19 hectares, Marina Matskova, deputy director of the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Regulation of the mayor’s office, said.
“These plots contain agricultural land, a street and road network and a utility infrastructure facility,” Ura.Ru quotes Matskova as saying.
The matter concerns clarifying the description of Yekaterinburg’s boundary. This is necessary to eliminate the intersection of the city’s border with the boundaries of plots that do not belong to its territory on the public cadastral map.
The issue will be discussed at a Duma meeting on October 7. It will then be considered at a session of the regional Legislative Assembly on October 28.
It was previously reported that another settlement in Sverdlovsk Oblast was to be liquidated.
