A New York University graduate will represent Yekaterinburg in the 'Miss Russia' pageant.
The final of the beauty pageant "Miss Russia — 2025" will take place today, October 4, in Moscow, writes E1.RU. Yekaterinburg will be represented there by 23-year-old Dina Safina.
As a child the Yekaterinburg native took part in children's beauty contests, but this year she applied directly to "Miss Russia" (bypassing "Miss Yekaterinburg"). Dina made it into the top contenders for the crown and will represent Yekaterinburg.
As Dina told URA.RU in an interview, she was born into a family of lawyers. She has an older brother and sister. From childhood she studied music, choreography, acting and vocal performance.
"One of the most vivid memories was performing in Yekaterinburg with a recreated ABBA group. It was on my birthday, and backstage the musicians performed 'Happy Birthday' for me," Dina told URA.RU.
Her schedule was so tight that she had to do her school homework during breaks. After graduating from school with a gold medal, at 17 she enrolled at New York University (NYU). Dina spent a long time learning English in order to study in the U.S.
She also graduated with honors from the English-language university, receiving a Bachelor of Arts and Business in Entertainment Industries.
A year after finishing her studies Dina returned to Russia. "Now Dina combines music, film directing and fashion," write "Gorodskie Portaly" about the contestant's activities.
The winner will receive a crown, one million rubles and the right to represent Russia at Miss Universe.
