Employees of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) were urgently evacuated on the morning of October 8. According to E1.RU readers, employees at all sites of the enterprise were sent home, but there have been no official comments yet.
“At 10:38 the plant was urgently evacuated. The sites on Shefskaya, in Aramil and in Koltsovo were closed. Everything happened on the orders of management,” one employee said.
Other workers add that the alarm was not sounded, but phones announced: “Pack up; you won’t be coming back today.” All the gates were opened and people were escorted off the plant’s premises.
“The entire plant was evacuated, everyone was driven home, the reasons were not explained,” another source noted. Other witnesses only confirm the evacuation and say the details are unknown.
UZGA’s press service told E1.RU that they have no information about what happened. The Sverdlovsk Region’s anti-terrorism commission also reported that it has no data on any evacuation.
According to media reports, employees of another important enterprise in Yekaterinburg were also evacuated today.
