The parents of "train surfers" said they didn't mind their children taking part in such activities.
Five teenagers, caught during a raid targeting "train surfers" at Vtorchermet, were summoned to a commission in the Chkalovsky District along with their parents.
Representatives of the Juvenile Affairs Unit of Police Department No. 12 and the district prosecutor's office took part in the October 16 meeting.
Most parents and guardians of the teenagers said they are unable to cope with raising their children and cannot control their leisure time and behavior. One mother even said she saw nothing wrong with "train surfing" and did not object to such activities for her child.
Also present at the meeting was a 16‑year‑old student, from whom a pneumatic pistol was seized; he had fired it at a tram driver. However, the main reason for summoning him to the commission was poor academic performance (the teenager had been held back a year in 9th grade) and skipping school.
A warning was issued to the "train surfers."
