A multi-vehicle crash in central Yekaterinburg paralyzed traffic
October 18, 2025. This morning, October 18, a five-car accident occurred at the intersection of Vostochnaya Street and Lenin Avenue. Eyewitnesses told the E1.RU portal that a person acting erratically in a car-sharing vehicle was fleeing from the police, ran a red light at the intersection and hit cars.

The suspect was handcuffed. Witnesses suspect he was drunk. At least five vehicles were damaged. Emergency services were working at the scene. According to preliminary information, there are injured people.
Earlier, a tanker overturned at the entrance to the Sverdlovsk city, blocking the road.

Car-sharing services should install "exhaust" sensors. The initial costs would later be recouped by savings on such problems. Believe me, they don't really want that. There's such a system of fines and their collection that these idiots are very profitable for car-sharing companies. The guy smashed one car but ended up liable for two (which only benefits the car-sharing company). And they'll repair that car and sell it as if it hadn't been crashed or repainted.
