A woman from Sverdlovsk revealed the real story behind the show "Let's Get Married!"
A woman from Yekaterinburg told how she got onto the show "Let's Get Married!" and what went on behind the scenes.
37-year-old Yekaterinburg resident Vasilina Denisochkina became a participant on the popular television show "Let's Get Married!" on Channel One. The woman came to compete for the attention of 40-year-old Muscovite Dmitry — a law enforcement officer with the rank of captain. However, at the end of the program the groom preferred another contestant, explaining that he was looking for "a more domestically-minded woman," although he noted Vasilina's attractiveness.
In a conversation with E1.RU, Vasilina admitted that she had never watched the show before and decided to take part on a friend's advice:
"I’m not a fan of the show, I haven't seen a single episode. A friend suggested sending in an application, and I decided to give it a try — to step out of my comfort zone, to show my true self, without masks," the participant said.
Before the filming, she said, the show's chief editor talked with her for a long time, finding out details about her personal life and her relationship with her ex-husband. The marriage, which lasted 14 years, ended due to infidelity and domestic violence; the couple have two children.
"They asked literally everything at the preliminary interview," Vasilina recalls. "I answered openly, but I asked them not to bring up one personal topic. However, during the filming the very first question was about that."
According to her, the show's participants aren't introduced to each other in advance — everyone is put up in different hotels.
"It's not staged. We only met in the makeup room. No one prompted us on what to say. But the format forced us to discuss the other brides, which made it look insincere from the outside," Vasilina shared.
Originally, she was supposed to be the episode's main focus, but later the editors changed the concept.
"The groom turned out to be a retired military man, and my ex-husband was also in the military," the participant admitted.
After the broadcast, according to Vasilina, her ex-husband reacted negatively to her appearance on the program and continues to send her unpleasant messages.
