Sverdlovsk Oblast ranked among the ten most in-demand tourist regions of Russia following the 2025 summer season. From June through August, about 1.2 million tourist trips to the region’s cities, nature parks and reserves were made. Governor Denis Pasler reported this.
According to the regional head, Sverdlovsk Oblast traditionally ranks among the top 10 destinations for travelers.
— Over the three summer months, guests of the Middle Urals made 1.2 million trips around our cities and natural sites. By the end of the year we expect more than 3.3 million tourist visits, he noted on his Telegram channel.
In addition to residents of neighboring regions, tourists came to the oblast from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and also from foreign countries — China, the CIS and Europe.
The most popular destinations with travelers are Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, Nevyansk, Sysert and Irbit. Active recreation is also popular — rafting on the Iset, Chusovaya and Serga rivers. For independent travelers, 34 unique tourist routes have been developed in the oblast.
