The Sverdlovsk Oblast authorities commented on reports that some gas stations in the region will be closed.
Messages are circulating online claiming that the operation of a number of gas stations in Sverdlovsk Oblast will allegedly be temporarily suspended. The authors of the posts attach a screenshot of a "government decree" purportedly signed by Governor Denis Pasler. The region's anti-terrorism commission denied this information, calling it a fake. The forged document states the "temporary closure of all gas stations, except for the Gazprom, Lukoil, Rosneft networks and their subsidiaries," allegedly "to ensure the safety of residents" due to an increase in incidents of the sale of low-quality fuel. The commission reminded that the dissemination of false information is subject to administrative and criminal liability. Earlier, authorities commented on reports of a gasoline shortage in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
