Criminal cases were opened against private home builders in Sverdlovsk Oblast.

      Six criminal cases have been opened in Sverdlovsk Region over delays in the construction of private houses, Governor Denis Pasler said.

      According to him, the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure Development has compiled a register of land plots where construction was not completed. Legal assistance has begun to be provided to those affected. There are 99 people on the list in total. In addition, the ministry is working with six creditor banks to resolve the financing of instalment plans or the provision of grace periods, writes E1.RU.

      Earlier reports said that a list is also being kept of construction companies that breached their obligations. It includes 18 organizations and individual entrepreneurs. Information about them is being sent to banks for inclusion on stop-lists, as well as to the prosecutor’s office.
