The student who went missing in Yekaterinburg may have been the victim of scammers.
In Yekaterinburg, 20-year-old student Lev Akulov disappeared under mysterious circumstances. He drove from Kamensk-Uralsky to Yekaterinburg in his Honda Civic and stopped responding to messages.
Lev is studying radio engineering at the Polytechnic Institute (a branch of UrFU) in Kamensk-Uralsky and lives with his parents in a private house. The volunteer search group LizaAlert suspects he may have fallen victim to scammers, although his friend disagrees.
"We studied at the institute until I decided to drop out. Lev worked as an instructor of IT subjects at my computer academy. He is very smart, serious and responsible. A person like that could not simply fall for scammers' tricks," the missing man's friend told the publication KP–Yekaterinburg.
Nevertheless, on the afternoon of October 23 Lev's car was found near Koltsovo Airport. Camera footage showed that he had flown to Barnaul.
Description: about 180 centimeters tall, slim build, light brown hair, gray-green eyes. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a black coat, khaki pants, black sneakers and a black hat.
If you have any information about Lev's whereabouts, call the LizaAlert volunteer group's hotline at 8 (800) 700-54-52 or dial 112.
Earlier in Yekaterinburg a 15-year-old schoolgirl who had not been in contact for several days was found.
