A gas-air mixture blast occurred on Monday afternoon in Yekaterinburg, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region reported.
A report of an incident at a five-story residential building on Yelizavetinskoye Highway was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 16:25. Responding rescuers established that, due to the depressurization of a camping gas cylinder in an apartment on the third floor, a gas-air mixture blast occurred without subsequent combustion.
As a result of the incident, the integrity of door and window openings was compromised. There were no injuries, and no evacuation was carried out.
Three emergency vehicles and seven firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to gather information.
