They are planning to launch a trolleybus route to the reinforced concrete plant.
It was proposed to route the first trolleybus line to ZhBI. Such an idea is already being considered by transport planners. Trolleybuses had never previously run in that direction, but Yekaterinburg has acquired vehicles with an extended autonomous range, which allows a more flexible approach to forming the route network.
For example, Yekaterinburg’s route 25 bus runs under the trolleybus overhead wires for a significant part of its journey — prompting the idea of converting the bus route into a trolleybus line. Such a decision would allow full use of the electric vehicles’ autonomous running capability and enable ZhBI to be served by trolleybuses, clarifies the E1.RU portal.
The section of route 25 near Mega that would be dropped could be taken over by bus route No. 84. It could be routed from the Radio College stop to Metallurgov, and then on to Mega.
It was previously reported that tram services in Elmash would be temporarily suspended.
