Yekaterinburg's transport pass was named the cheapest in the country.

From November 1, Yekaterinburg will introduce a single unlimited travel pass. For 1,500 rubles a month, residents without concessions will be able to use all four types of public transport — bus, tram, trolleybus and metro.

This is the most affordable "unlimited" among Russia's cities with over a million inhabitants. In other large cities similar passes cost significantly more: in Samara — 2,275 rubles, in Nizhny Novgorod — 2,300, in Novosibirsk — 2,650, in Kazan — 3,100, and in St. Petersburg — 4,489 rubles.

Even without access to the metro, passes are more expensive. For example, in Chelyabinsk a monthly pass for surface transport costs 1,600 rubles, and in Omsk — 3,192. At the same time, in both cities the single-ride fare will also be raised from November 1.

For students the "unlimited" will become even more advantageous — the price will fall from 1,700 to 1,200 rubles per month.

In addition, until December 31 you can keep the previous price by paying for trips with a QR code — 33 rubles per ride.

Recall that since September 1 schoolchildren in Yekaterinburg aged 7 to 18 ride surface transport for free, and a metro pass for them costs just 200 rubles a month — this benefit applies only in the Ural capital.
