On the morning of October 29, two people died in a crash on the Tyumen Trakt in Pyshminsky District, the traffic police for Sverdlovsk Region reported.
According to the agency, a 34-year-old woman from Sverdlovsk Oblast was driving a VAZ-2112 but lost control on the wet road and collided with a truck. She and her 48-year-old passenger died before medics arrived. They were not wearing seat belts.
According to the 37-year-old driver of a Sitrak, he stopped on a "safety island" to inspect the vehicle. When he returned to the cab, he felt an impact.
Administrative reports were also drawn up against the driver under the following articles: "Driving a truck without a tachograph"; "Putting a vehicle into service without pre-trip technical inspection and pre-trip medical examination of the driver"; "Driving a vehicle with defects that prohibit operation, namely the absence of a valid diagnostic card"; "Lack of a valid OSAGO insurance policy"; and "Failure to comply with road signs or markings concerning the stopping or parking of vehicles."
Earlier in Sverdlovsk Region a drunk driver fatally struck a woman at a pedestrian crossing.
