It has emerged where the head chef who killed a businessman in Zarechny spent all the money.
Residents of Zarechny described details of the high-profile killing of local entrepreneur Ilgar Khanadanov, whose body was found in a forest near Yekaterinburg. His car — a white Mercedes with traces of blood — had been found nearby earlier.
According to acquaintances, the crime is blamed on 41-year-old chef Pavel Ten, who ran two popular restaurants in Zarechny. Locals say that shortly before the tragedy he became addicted to online casinos and began borrowing large sums from friends and business partners.
"Pasha and Ilgar, whom everyone called Igor, were best friends. Pavel was a calm, even-tempered man, but recently he began borrowing money — first from Ilgar, then from others through him. In total he owed more than 12 million rubles. Later it turned out that he was losing everything at online casinos," one local resident told E1.RU.
When Khanadanov demanded repayment, Ten invited him to his home. According to the investigation, he waited until his friend bent down to tie his shoelaces and struck him in the head with an axe. He then drove the body to the forest and left the car nearby.
At first Pavel denied his guilt, but later, after a polygraph test, he confessed to what he had done and cried.
It is known that the accused has a live-in partner but no children. According to Zarechny residents, his sister works at the prosecutor’s office and his brother-in-law works at the court.
Pavel Ten has been charged with murder.
Recall that 49-year-old entrepreneur Ilgar Khanadanov, the owner of several eateries, disappeared on October 24. A day later his car was found in a forest outside Yekaterinburg, and on October 29 investigators confirmed the man's death.
According to the Investigative Committee, the killing stemmed from a financial dispute — the accused owed the deceased about 2.5 million rubles.
