The subsistence minimum in Sverdlovsk Oblast will increase.
In the Sverdlovsk Region, the subsistence minimum for 2026 will rise by 6.8%, amounting to 18,750 rubles. The indexation is expected on January 1. This was reported by the region’s Department of Information Policy.
“The subsistence minimum per capita from January 1 will be 18,750 rubles. For the working-age population — 20,438 rubles, for pensioners — 16,125 rubles, for children — 18,188 rubles per month,” the Department of Information Policy clarified.
Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler added that the subsistence minimum is the main criterion for determining the amounts of various social payments. After its increase, benefits for children under three years of age and payments for childbirth and child-rearing will increase, writes Ura.Ru.
It was earlier reported that food “certificates” for low-income people may appear in the region.
