The consecration of a monument to Saint Luke (Voyno‑Yasenetsky), installed in the medical town on Volgogradskaya Street, was performed on Friday, November 14 in Yekaterinburg by Metropolitan Evgeny (Kulberg) of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye. Metropolitan Evgeny also celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the main medical church of the Sverdlovsk Region — in the name of the Holy Unmercenaries and Wonderworkers (healers) Cosmas and Damian of Asia — in honor of their patronal feast, commemorated by the Russian Orthodox Church on November 14. The church was erected on the grounds of Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 (185 Volgogradskaya Street). The monument is installed in front of the church.

The idea to install the monument belongs to a parishioner of the church and his wife — Vitaly and Viktoriya Antipin. It was created by Ural sculptor Roman Gorelenko. The consecration of the monument to the Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea, Saint and Confessor Luke (Voyno‑Yasenetsky), was performed by Metropolitan Evgeny after the solemn Divine Liturgy, the Telegram channel of the Yekaterinburg Diocese reports.
